Brave New World

From Hero's Journey Text Set

Huxley, Aldous. (2005). Brave New World (First Harper Perennial Modern Classics Ed.). New York: HarperCollins Publishers.

Bernard is a socially maligned young man living in The World State in 632 “The Year of our Ford,” (or 2045 AD). He is trying to sort out his role in society, and eventually leaves London to visit a Savage Colony, where he discovers “John the Savage” and brings him back to the World State. This novel provides ample opportunity to discuss societal conventions, and provides a binary through which to discuss the Hero’s Journey.
